The menu features a selection of Christmas and classic pastries, including traditional mince pie and stollen cake. Festive Afternoon Tea is priced at £70 per person and includes a glass of Mulled Wine (non-alcoholic alternatives are available).
The Montague on the Gardens hotel seems to inhabit two worlds. In front, is the British Museum and the hurly-burly of tourist London, just a stones throw from the West End theatre district and Covent Garden. To the rear, there's a serene private garden, cut off from the city by a rectangle of fine Georgian townhouses. Between the two lies The Montague - an intriguing blend of up-to-the-minute city vibrancy and old-world Bloomsbury calm.
