About
Only avaliable 28th July - 23rd August 2025.
Perhaps one of the most renowned auction houses in the world, Sotheby's deal in a range of antique items from over 50 different categories including jewellery and paintings. This summer in conjunction with the Hafla exhibition we will be running a A Quintessentially British Afternoon Tea with an Eastern Bloom.
HAFLA returns to Sotheby’s New Bond Street this year, celebrating the rich cultural and artistic traditions of the Middle East. The month-long programme spans a diverse range of mediums and narratives. From auction highlights to luxury retail, the programme is anchored by a special exhibition presented by Turquoise Mountain, complimented by a series of talks and artisan demonstrations. HAFLA, the Arabic word for “celebration,” conveys more than its English counterpart; it signifies a festivity that honours something truly deserving of care, attention, and reverence.
Afternoon tea is served in the Sotheby’s restaurant on the ground floor at the New Bond Street entrance.
The menu is your traditional quintessentially British Afternoon Tea with a fusion of Middle Eastern flavours and twists.
