About
Enjoy a contemporary English Afternoon Tea at Oblix with stunning views of the London skyline from the 32nd floor of The Shard.
Oblix was the first restaurant to open in The Shard in 2013 and continues to set sky-high standards from the tallest building in Western Europe. Founded by innovative chef- restaurateur Rainer Becker, Oblix serves contemporary, seasonal dishes in a modern and sophisticated setting.
Afternoon tea is served in Oblix East, a cosmopolitan lounge that channels the creative energy of East London, which stretches out below in views from the Gherkin and the Walkie-Talkie to Tower Bridge and beyond.
To start, the savouries offer a selection of sandwiches including ‘Severn & Wye smoked salmon, seaweed & cucumber’, an ‘Avocado, tomato & buffalo mozzarella tart’. Freshly baked scones are served with whipped clotted cream, and homemade honeycomb and raspberry preserve. The sweet section includes a ‘Passion fruit, mango & pistachio bar’, ‘Warm honey madeleines with chocolate sauce’ and the ‘Oblix hazelnut rocher’ amongst others.
The menu also features a wide selection of teas; including Assam Breakfast, Organic Sencha, and Jasmine Pearl, with free flow wine and champagne options available.
