About
Located in the heart of Southsea and housed in a grade II listed building, The Queens Hotel is an iconic feature of the local landscape and offers uninterrupted views of Southsea Common and the Solent, all the way over to the Isle of Wight.
Afternoon Tea can be enjoyed in the exquisite Restaurant 1865, the calm and relaxing Dukes Bar, the opulent Elizabeth Room or the grand Libby’s Room, all of which capture the grace of Edwardian times.
The afternoon tea menu offers a selection of light finger sandwiches and other savoury treats, scones with clotted cream & strawberry preserve, and a range of decadent cakes and pastries, including a coconut, mango & passion fruit choux, a St. Clement’s cake and an Eton mess macaron, among others. Unlimited tea or filter coffee is included, but guests can opt for a glass of something bubbly for an additional fee if they wish.
A children’s afternoon tea is also available. Younger guests can tuck into a sandwich of their choice, a scone with clotted cream & strawberry jam as well as a trio of desserts – a vanilla cupcake, a chocolate brownie and a rocky road slice. What’s more, children are served unlimited squash in their own vintage teapot and tea cup.
Gluten-free, vegan and other dietary requirements can be catered for with advance notice.
